Every IT support call ends the same way. “Have you tried restarting it?”
It sounds like a joke. It isn’t.
A restart clears the cache. It frees up whatever got stuck. Nine times out of ten, it’s the fastest path back to normal.
I’ve seen it work more times than I can count. An app freezes. A system lags. A reload does what an hour of troubleshooting couldn’t.
Our lives need the same fix.
Yesterday didn’t go how you planned. Last week fell short. Last month’s numbers, last quarter’s figures — not what you hoped for.
Here’s the thing: those are lagging indicators. They already happened. No amount of staring at them changes the outcome.
Don’t cry over spilled milk.
The Lesson
You can’t edit the past. You can only build the next version of it. Stop auditing yesterday and start working on your today.
Make today better. Make this month’s numbers better. Make this quarter count.
In essence: just restart
