How far along have you progressed with your dreams? Are you, by any chance, falling behind on your dreams ? I would like to hazard a guess.

I suggest it is because you view them as your dreams. They are yours alone and no one else’s. You are pursuing them alone, and that may be the problem.

Big dreams require, at a minimum, a strong team. An individual often takes longer to achieve their dreams before they can be realized. We all need partners, teammates, and supervisors to keep the dream on track and alive.

In Africa, where I reside, communal effort is not new. It is how we are raised. We believe in the community’s involvement in raising a child and mourning loved ones. Other notable examples from African history include the following:

• The Ashanti people building a unified empire

Your team makes all the difference. Your team will

• Share the workload
• Provide moral support
• Keep you accountable
• Drive innovation
• Share solutions

I encourage you to involve your team in your vision. If you keep your vision to yourself, it might not become a reality anytime soon.
